Happy Easter.

1. On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3. but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4. While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5. In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living amoung the dead? 6. He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee. 7. "The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again." 8. Then they remembered his words. Luke 24:1-8.

Hope you took some time to look over the Easter story, and glean something new this year. May you have a peaceful day, as you reflect on Jesus. mk.

Jesus Dies on the Cross.

44. It was about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, 45. for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46. Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last.

47. The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man." 48. When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts and went away. 49. But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things.

i don't know where your heart is this Easter season, but this rainy, dreary day tugged at my heart. with such great grief and sadness i read this story, which if you don' t know it, is found in Luke 23 and 24. read it. tomorrow, i will find much more to rejoice about, but until then i stand in awe and amazement for how great our God is, and what grief and utter astonishment these people went thru watching this whole ordeal unfold...mis.

eggs.

We had a party here last night. It started with dinner we shared with: us (minus Matt, he was showing houses :) ), Meg and her kids, Daryl, (our carpet man) and Moppy, (Poppy was away on business). So, as Daryl got to work in the basement, finishing installing carpet, we got to painting eggs, having quite the time!

Some of our finished product we will be "hunting" for on Sunday, with most of our cousins.

This aunte' gets into it, sometimes more than the kids. :)

Can you feel the love around this table?

Campbell showing her handiwork to Moppy and Calli. She was quite proud of herself...masterpieces at just 2 years old.
We had so much fun. There were markers flying, eggs crashing to the floor, and screams of joy. You may not be able to get the full picture, but you can try...

Ta...Da...

mascara anyone?

Campbell has always enjoyed my make-up...and knows she is not allowed in my drawer. However, she tends to be a bit sneaky, (I guess she gets that from me)? :) So, last week while I was nursing Calli, she decided to put on some mascara...she needs a few lessons...and we have PLENTY of time for those.
